About boating
When the evenings are light and the tide is right we go boating on Lake Lothing.
It's a chance to learn practical Seamanship skills but more importantly it's just great fun!
In the summer we often run
sailing and
kayaking courses on Oulton Broad. These are a great opportunity to learn some great skills and gain a recognised qualification!
Boating gear
Waterproofs, warm clothing and a hat (sun or woolly).
It can get very cold out on the water so it is vital you are sensibly dressed. Even if it is very sunny it is still likely to be cool when out in a boat. Bring lots of layers.
Also, don't forget that you, plus the clothes and shoes you are wearing, could get wet!
